Why boxing or Kickboxing for your child?
Our champions of the future have to start somewhere and an early age is generally the best starting point! Equipping your little prodigies with practical boxing and kickboxing that really WORKS!
Your child will develop so many other great skills from boxing and kickboxing. Confidence is something that a lot of team sports cannot guarantee, but is a crucial aspect of boxing. If your child has self-confidence problems then you may want to consider putting them into a boxing or kickboxing program.
Physical strength is another great tool that will help your child in the end. You will never have to worry about your little boxer being out of shape. Strength and flexibility are key aspects of boxing and kickboxing. They will come in handy for many other aspects of life and sporting events your child may participate in.
Team sports help build self confidence and discipline. Our goal is to build confidence, self- esteem, discipline, that your child can carry with him/her throughout the course of their lives. Kids of all ages and skill levels – they will be comfortable training in our supportive environment.
With so many benefits readily apparent, why not start your child out in boxing or Kickboxing? It can only be a positive influence in his or her life and development.
The benefits of boxing fitness programs are much more far-reaching! Kids can benefit from kickboxing fitness routines as well. As your child becomes more fit with one of these fitness training regimens, they will also improve certain functions such as their:

Self discipline
Respect for others
Their confidence levels
Our youth kickboxing program teach children certain basic boxing and kickboxing skills, such as proper footwork and punching techniques while at the same time engaging them in a variety of boxing drills such as learning how to use the heavy bag properly. Additionally, they will learn how to maximize their stamina and strength levels while at the same time enhancing their motor coordination. We provide children with a safe boxing and kickboxing fitness environment that enables them to have fun while they are working out. This makes it easier for them learn some very challenging boxing techniques as well as discipline.
Boxing and Kickboxing helps them develop:
Better coordination
Boxing and kickboxing fitness programs challenge the entire body while developing agility, balance, coordination, and poise in the process.
Discipline
Perseverance and self-discipline help your child realize that they can accomplish anything when they put their mind to it.
Grades
Typically, when a person is a better athlete, they are a better student as well whether male or female. Your child will learn how to follow directions which will enable them to pay attention during class time and participate in a number of activities.
Self-confidence
For many boys and girls, having enough self-confidence doesn’t always come easy. When your child accomplishes their goals with our boxing and kickboxing fitness programs, their level of self-confidence typically improves in the process. They are never compared to others in the program and can train at their own pace.
Self-Defense
Boxing and kickboxing fitness teaches a child to think rationally without panicking whenever they are confronted with potentially harmful situations.
ADULT CLASS – Wed 8p, Fri 6p, Sun 7:30p $45 & 60
Train in real kickboxing for recreational purposes or to compete in the ring! Our kickboxing program has been created and governed by 23 time world kickboxing chamption, Jean-yves “The Iceman” Theriault. You will learn skills and techniques through a systematic progression becoming certified under each level by Jean-yves Theriault! There simply aren’t any other kickboxing programs around our area that can provide their fighters this level of world class training.

I have been attending Phillip Yang’s kickboxing classes since inception and absolutely love them! My friend and I always feel bad if there is a week that we have to miss as we both thoroughly enjoy the fun, fast-paced kickboxing classes that Philip teaches. We have learned so much over the past couple of years with respect to various kicks, punches and movements and are incredibly lucky to be part of such a great team! Philip is professional, fun-loving and an extremely well rounded coach! Anyone who is on the fence about joining any of his classes should just try them out! So much fun!! 🙂
